Welcome to Team Edale! This is a school where everyone 'Takes Care'. We 'Take Care' of each other, ourselves, our work and our school and world. At Edale Rise, the Take Care ethos is lived throughout every aspect of our school day. From the way we speak to one another, to how we apply ourselves in lessons,  'Take Care' is our core value. Our most recent Ofsted inspection (June 2023) commented that: 

"Pupils are well-behaved and courteous. They greet people warmly. They hold doors open for others. They thank each other. They are motivated by the rewards that they can earn.. They are proud of the ‘take care’ awards that they earn."

"Pupils are inclusive and respectful. They recognise and celebrate the diverse range of cultures, beliefs and religions that make up their community. They respect views and beliefs that are different from their own."

At Edale, we are immensely proud of our curriculum and teaching and learning practices. We strive to apply evidence-informed principles to ensure our children are provided with the best education possible. Our recent Challenge Partners Review (January 2025) stated: 

"The highly aspirational teaching team has excellent knowledge, ambition and empathy for pupils, resulting in a calm, purposeful learning ethos. The Edale Rise teaching and learning principles are consistently demonstrated. Pupils’ movement around school and engagement in learning is exemplary.

"Leaders continually use research to develop and refine the curriculum. The curriculum is deliberately knowledge-rich."
